The story behind Daisy's Special Bits
Welcome to Daisy's Special Bits. What began at the kitchen table as a loving mother’s search for mindful, creative rainy-day activities has grown into a collection of handmade playdough and sensory kits designed to inspire calm, joy, and open-ended imagination in little ones across the United Kingdom.
Inspired by Daisy and rainy afternoons
Daisy's Special Bits was born out of watching my own daughter, Daisy, explore the world around her. Every parent knows the struggle of finding engaging, screen-free activities on a gloomy afternoon. I wanted to create a gentle, tactile experience that could turn rainy days into moments of wonder and peaceful play.
Safe, affordable, and handcrafted with care
We believe every family should have access to quality sensory play without steep prices. Unlike mass-produced alternatives, every batch of our playdough is made by hand with safe, child-friendly ingredients. We keep our products accessible and affordable so that wholesome imaginative play is always within reach.
Bringing calm and imagination to family life
Our ultimate goal is to bring true happiness, joy, and satisfaction to both parents and children. Sensory activities are wonderful for calming busy minds and fostering quiet concentration. Seeing the pure delight on a child's face as they shape their creations makes every handcrafted batch worthwhile.
"The playdough from Daisy's Special Bits has completely transformed our rainy days. It is wonderfully soft, smells lovely, and brings so much calm and creative fun to our home."
